Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.
My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.
My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0
Lol okay so we can get a background check and physical beforehand? I just want to be clear.
The background check you have to wait for also. Hey tell you where to go for that. I did the physical because it's free with my insurance so I thought why not get ahead of the game. The physical form is on the school website.
i would wait on the background check/CEU's/drug test until we know if we are accepted..my insurance covers a physical so I scheduled mine for two weeks out, hopefully we find out soon!someone said on another thread if the shoes have a logo it has to be small and white as well.
Thank you :)

Yes wait for the background check, drug screen and CEU. I work in a doctors office and know how tough It can be to get a appt for a physical especially when everyone is getting things ready for school. If you don't want to have the actual physical now I recommend scheduling the appt at least like wannabeny. You can always cancel.
I have no idea what to buy. What should i start buying or studying?
safe bet would be a watch w/ a second hand, and shoes.
I rented the perry 8th edition for $16. So far, from what other posters have said to read:
-vital signs
-hygiene
-infection control and safety
-nursing process chapters (assess, diagnose,plan,implement,evaluate)
i've gone through those chapters, completed all of the chapter quizzes and the online evolve resources.

What a champ. I'm going to rent it as soon as I know I got in.
Hello, I applied mid December for the bridge program. Should I be concerned that my limited access application page says "there are no applications to display"? It's March 1st. If people are seeing their application is under review by early February, should't mine be under review by March???? I don't want to find out too late that my application was lost in the shuffle. Not trying to insult the competence of those reviewing, I'm just a worrier and it's my worst nightmare lol (nervously)

As long as you physically handed it in to someone I wouldn't worry.

Where did you rent the book? If you don't mind me asking.
