Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Okay so on the "Nursing January 2016" thread many posters said their application went from "Application in Review" to "Pre-Admissions" which means they got in.

But other people had different statuses that changed to "Pre-Admission". One person even got "Alternative Seat" (which I believe is kind of like being wait listed) and then changed to "Pre-Admission" in the same day. So I don't think there are any changes in statuses other than to pre-admission. As long as it's acknowledged they got our application we shouldn't be too worried.

That's all the research I got so far. :bookworm:

If you want to continue looking, the acceptances start on page 15 or so. :)

On another note we're in the last week of February and that means possible acceptance emails. ;)

Yes Birdyy16 you came back bearing gifts ( good information). My fingers are so tightly crossed I'm beginning to lose blood circulation. I submitted my App Sept2015... so yeah I've been waiting for what seems like an eternity.

you are wonderful :) are you in the program now?

I'm another May hopeful! I've been stalking the previous threads and came across this from another helpful student.

I have this issue where I get so excited I have to do or buy something related to that thing I'm excited for. lol Weird I know.

So far I've got my white no logo sneakers. I'm wondering what kind of watch we can use? Second hand watches? Digital watch? Color specific? I need to buy something to help me get through this week! LOL :roflmao:

I've read in other threads that you need a second hand watch and color doesn't matter.

Second hand watch would be best, you will need the second hand when checking respirations, blood pressures and pulses.

Hello everyone I applied to the program Nov-Dec 2015 (its so long ago),for the bridge LPN-RN.I know they will take longer to reply to the bridge candidates so I am patiently waiting.

it seems like everyone heard back either the end of february, or the first week od march from paat threads!

Hi @lifesaver11 ,do you know what class the bridge students start off with?

Hi everyone!! :) I'm applying to the Bridge program in May 2016 too.

Hey have you heard what class the bridge students start off with?

I want to volunteer at Memorial but they want a 6 month commitment and by then I'll have started the program, does anyone think this is a good idea? Or is it just too redundant as a nursing student. When do clinical rotations actually start in the program and will I have an opportunity at Memorial if I pick central campus?

Hopefully someone knows, thanks in advance!
