Broward College May 2016 RN program

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Do you by chance remember how long it took your application status to change from pre-program application to application in review. I turned my application in on the 15th and it's still saying pre-program application. Maybe I'm just being impatient its only been three days!

When I submitted mine it took about 4 days. Monday was a holiday though, that could be the reason.

I turned mine in last Thursday and it still hasn't updated :( I check my BC page like every hour lol

It takes some time. I turned mines in the last Monday of January and it changed from "no application" to "application in review" after 2 weeks. They do application reviews on Fridays so I bet it's alot of applications to go through in one day (assuming it's not done during the other weekdays) especially with the bridge program.

4.0 Prereq GPA and 94% overall HESI here. No response yet.

Don't knkw how many applicants they have, but I'm sure it takes awhile to sort all of it out. No change in my status as of this morning either.

LunaM great stats. Are you applying for the generic or the bridge?

hey there! I am planning to apply for the Fall term in a couple of weeks. I have gotten straight A's on all of the pre-requisites but I wanted to know how the point system works. I haven't found much information on it. I also scored a 90% overall on my first try with the HESI, with 96 A&P, 90 Reading, 88 Grammar, 88 Vocabulary, and 80 on Math. Where do you all find the deadlines for the application dates?

Nicole has said the point system starts at 16 for a 4.0 and goes down the line. They don't look at overall score, they only look at each individual section.

you can email Nicole..she should be able to tell you when the deadline for Fall is. She posted her email a few posts earlier on here.

There is no "official" deadline per se. You have to check with the office. I found out the deadline of the May semester by emailing the associate dean of nursing in around September 2015.

Hi!! I applied for the May 2016 program as well 😊 Overall GPA of 3.4 and my HESI I scored 88. Fingers crossed for acceptance! I submitted my app like 2 weeks ago and it still says "pre-program application" so I'm freaking out! Anyone know anything and how long it takes to go into review?!
