Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

208Greetings.

Attached are 12 Word documents which I made when I took pharmacology. All the information was based on the ATI study guide since that constituted the final exam in our class.

They are formatted as 3x5 cards and were printed on individual 3x5 cards.

Have at 'em if you think they'll help... they certainly worked for me.

Again, they are entirely my own creation based on the information out of the ATI book. I make no promises as to their accuracy (though I rocked pharm so they couldn't be too bad).

Feedback is welcome.

I found this in another topic to help with pharmacology..let me know if the links work

Received an email today about the TABE exam we need to take the first day of classes. Does anyone know what that includes? Also, it says we have to be in full uniform....I'm assuming that means to wear our scrubs?

So I just received an e-mail from North campus and it said to arrive in "Full uniform". As it is a theory day I assume that means the Blue pollo and jeans with the white tennis shoes?

We can't afford to assume anything with North. I still have no idea what to wear on the first day of class. Full uniforms doesn't specify anything for us.Thats such a gray area statement. Is it polo or scrubs why can't it just be clear? Also when do we get the reference codes to register for fall? North is so unorganized and causes more anxiety than needed. Smh:no::( so frustrating

TABE practice problems can be found online.

I'm pretty sure the TABE is just the reading comp test that McWhirter talked about at orientation. Basics entry level reading questions. Also, it says full uniform so I would guess that to be scrubs with hair back, all white shoes etc?

So regarding this TABE test

Will it only be a Reading Section, or will it include the Math and Language sections too?

And then do we bring our stethoscopes and whatnot? And what textbooks to we bring?

Tha tabe exam is reading comprehension ONLY, high school level. Bring 2 number two pencils and get a green scant Ron from the bookstore, it is after theory.

I interpret it as we need to be in scrubs. For theory we are allowed to wear the scrubs or polo and jeans, but I'm assuming by uniform she means scrubs.

I'm bringing my text, a notebook, and the test information as well as my pharmacology book.

When they send them..remember our registration dates are different than the regular registration dates, and we don't need to worry about being locked out of classes because they're reserved for us at this point.

You dont need any reference number to register as long as u know the course. You can do it yourself. The way to do it is to search for campus u want when u look for the course at BCC web. So if the course lecture professor is north, the same professor is the one that must teach lab. After u register for lecture knowing that the lecture professor is south or north, then u start over by select nursing course option and all campus. Then u select the lab course that you want with the same lecture professor. I already register for fall. The fall courses are already open. Dont wait when it's over.

Hi everyone, North Campus here.

I'm a little worried too. I haven't received any syllabus, any emails regarding fall registration. I'm worried I won't have time to register for classes at North campus for the fall semester.

About the uniforms, I'm confused about the whole "full uniform", I emailed 3 different people about it and they don't specify if it's jeans and polo or scrubs.

Also, I was confused about which folder to put all the forms and documents, so I went there to ask them. I had everything with me but I didn't have a folder with me. They asked me to give them everything and when I realized they were going to keep it I insisted that I go get the proper folder to put them because I didn't want any problems with anyone and they didn't give me anything back, they said they needed everything loose and placed it inside a plastic sleve.

The only thing I'm happy with is that my financial aid came through about 1 month ago, so I was able to pay for the classes and buy all the books with it.
