Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

From Central I reviewed an email from Theresa and when registering it does allow you to choose Fall

I guess I had a computer glitch.... but I was finally able to register for fall . Still waiting on financial aid :cautious:

Anyone from north get any emails yet? Do we register for our next classes ourselves or are they sending reference codes?

I called North and the guy who answered the phone kind of laughed in my face. He said go ahead and register if you want. And I said well, don't we need reference codes? And that's when he laughed and said exactly, the dean will be sending those out. Soooo, I guess we just wait!

Ok good I was a little worried! Just got my uniform. The XXS pants I still have to roll up, so guess I'll be making a visit to my tailor :D

Excited! Stethescope, BP cuff..

So close to class now!

Anyone from central hear anything about financial aid?

For the clinical nursing skills do anyone know where I should start reading from

Anyone from north get their syllabi ?

Mine just went in yesterday afternoon. They said if it hasn't gone in by this driday, it should be next Monday.

I checked w/ the bookstore and explained the financial aid situation, and they said if you have your drivers license, you can get your things. They know people are waiting.

What campus are you?

North campus.

So I started practicing with my BP Cuff and stethoscope today, and I don't have any medical background, so I was searching youtube for some videos. Found this one..

well, at orientation they said that process I is focused on basic skills, so I'm guessing If we will be tested on taking vital signs and health assessment we should start there.
