Unfortunately, at Central our orientation day is our first day of classes. :(

yep, even for the online people. We all have to attend...

Oh....just thought I'd mention this (I don't know if it's been brought up yet) but DO NOT be late ever....but especially in the beginning. At Central your first late for clinicals you have to write a paper, the second (even is it's two minutes) you have to make up 12 hours, and your third you have to withdraw and speak to the dean. Just be early so you don't have to worry.

Also,

There should be an orientation day before you start...like 2-3 weeks ahead of time and everything you need to know you can ask about then.

My orientation is on the first day too.. for North Campus

2 dumb questions: What does GI/GU mean and what is "trends"?

Specializes in ED.

GI/GU is gastrointestinal and genitourinary. Basically, issues of the digestive and urinary tracts, including male reproductive issues such as enlarged prostate.

Trends is the last course. Full name is Trends, Practices and Roles. Deals with ethical, legal and professional responsibilities of a nurse.

Hey whoever did their quest diagnostics which one did you go to? How do I know which ones work with BC and only charge the 29$, I don't want to call them all

Hi Blondie. This is the one i went to 3700 Washington St. Suite 102, Hollywood, FL 33021-8256. There are only a handfull that do the drug test. I assume you know the $29 we just pat to BC we dont pay quest anything just take that triplicate paper they gave u from orientation and thats it.

That's crazy that's the one I was just looking at it's closest to me. Do I have to make an appointment?

Nope. They only do the drug screens between 8am-3pm but I was there like at 7:50 and was out in like 15 mins.

I went to that Quest last week and they only gave me back a little slip of paper! Is that all we need to put in our folder?

I just went to Quest today and the same thing happened! I was like arguing with the lady and she says that's the ONLY thing we get back. But the paper we got from orientation says we have to turn in a copy of completed drug screening???

I went to the one in Ft. Lauderdale on Commercial and Rock Island in the Chiropractor place. They gave me back the white copy from the drug test.
