New thread started for all those applying for / accepted to / attending Broward College January 2011. Chime in, let us know how you're doing!

How did you receive the schedule for central? Can you post it?

they will give it to you at the session. they gave us the wrong one at ours, so they had to email it to us.

for all that attended the orientation already, do you remember what they said about when they will email out the schedule for south campus?? i got the one for central, but wasnt sure about the other one...

I don't remember them saying when just that they would..I have been looking out for it also.

I can promise you that is why. SAME thing happened to me last semester! You have to have a 75% or higher in math and A&P. I had to retake the math. =(

Aww, man...okay well i will do what i gotta do for May!!

The math i got a 73, but everything else was good .

Re-take it!!!! I had a 72 in A&P and once I retook it and turned in my new scores my status changed to pre-admission.

My friend had 16 pts and a 90% overall hesi score and she didn't make it but my other friend who had 13 pts and and a 83% overall score did and my other friend who had 10 pts had a 89% didnt make it either, so im confused on what BC wants .

Really!!!, ok if i dont get in this term, i going retake it just the math, is that possiable?

Question:

How many people had the HOSA points?

Yes, you can do that. You have to pay the full cost of the test but you can just redo the math.

Thanks, i will be doing that !!

You have to score 76 and above on all sections. You can score a 95 on english, math but score a 74 on reading and you risk not getting in. BCC states there is not a minimum score to turn in an application, that doesn't mean they are not selecting us based on an "unpublished" score.

For those of you, who have not taken the HESI, try to get a high score the first time around-the retake is a lot harder. I was unofficially told that Math and Reading scores are very important.

Did you guys pass all sections of the hesi with atleast 75% in math and a&p and 70% in all other sections?? Because last semester my app stayed in review forever as well, and it was because I had an overall of 89% on the hesi, but got less than a 75% on the mat portion that's why they didn't offer me a seat right away. I then re-took the math portion and score a 96%. That's when I got accepted.

YUP...........for those of you who can........retake the exam if you scored under 75. Don't give up. :nurse:

Aim for at least an 80 on math.

I did everything at Sheridan Vocational. I didn't have to do any CEU's seperate. I just had to make copies of my certificates and that's it. On your degree audit the area 06C says Area is waived. And my program admit status says Y. Just call them and check, maybe they just haven't fixed your degree audit yet.

I received a waiver....do I still have to submit certificates.
