New thread started for all those applying for / accepted to / attending Broward College January 2011. Chime in, let us know how you're doing!
Thanks for the info! At our orientation they didnt want to give out any websites. They just wanted us to call the campus to make sure they accepted it. Where did you do your CPR course?
I did my CPR course at Sheridan, which was included in the Health Core class. But they wouldn't take my CEUs from there- said the way the certificate listed everything wasn't the correct way. But it was no biggie for me, only cost me $30 to do them all and I still saved a ton of money then having to do everything at BC. I'm sure they've figured it out by now how BC wants them to list the CEUs so it will work.
Does anyone know of the scholorship that Memorial Hospital does with nursing students where you sign a contract with them and they pay for your school while youre in the nursing program but once you finish you have to work with them for a certain amount of hours??
You cannot apply for any of the hospital scholarships until after passing Process 1 and 2. In GIGU (the class that follows Process 2), there will be a day where the three reps from the three hospital scholarships (Broward Health, HCA and Memorial) will come in and bring lunch, talk about applying and answer questions. There you will get the applications and a due date for them.
This was posted on the north campus professor's page, but all three campuses use the same books.
(You don't need the Lewis Med Surg books until the second semester for GIGU, and then use again later in Ortho/Neuro and Cardio)

I did everything at Sheridan Vocational. I didn't have to do any CEU's seperate. I just had to make copies of my certificates and that's it. On your degree audit the area 06C says Area is waived. And my program admit status says Y. Just call them and check, maybe they just haven't fixed your degree audit yet.
