U.S.A. Florida

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

Where is Snyder park? My water dog would absolutely love it!

Thanks Christopher my pup and I will have to check it out.

Hi everyone. Sure has been quiet since we all learned our fate! I just wanted to share some info on stethoscopes in case any of you are looking now. I've been researching and asking around about the best one. I've come to conclude that Littman is the all time best and comes highly recommended from nurses and other health care personnel. I was torn between the classic II SE and the cardiology scope. However, I'm going with the classic. I found all heart.com to be the cheapest place to get it. Just thought I'd share since a good scope is one of our major tools!

Lol too funny, I guess great minds think alike! I had been looking. That was the brand I chose.

I have been looking at scopes, scrubs, and shoes since December. One thing I suggest you go ahead and research now is a watch with a sweeping second hand motion, because supposedly we will have to get one. I googled them and found some on Amazon, but make sure the second hand has a smooth "sweeping" motion, not the tick-tock that is on most watches. Contrary to what I saw on some posts, Rolex is NOT the only maker of these types of watches, and there are plenty at reasonable prices.

Personally I am looking for something that says "I'm a badass with a heart of gold." Don't know how lucky I will be... lol

I found a cute one from nurse mates that I'm in love with. Umm...probably too girly for you though.

Did you get it engraved If not do! They tend to spring legs and walk away.

What color did you decide? I'm torn between purple and ceil blue.

Was it the littman cardiology??

I guess I'm way behind. lol

I think I'll just go with the basic one we had to get for Core class, and as far as scrubs and shoes, whatever fits and is most comfortable, though I have a few shoes. Maybe I'll treat myself. :)

So talking with my wonderful hubby last night about scopes he told me to go ahead and get the more expensive littman cardiology III. So I guess my mind is now made up and instead of going with the cheaper classic I'll be getting the Littmann Cardiology III.

Well scrubs we have to get the ones from the bookstore. Shoes have to be all white and leather . I saw Famous Footwear was having a great sale and they had all white leather athletic shoes.
