I'm starting this thread for students looking to start(ing), and (or) finishing there pre's by spring of 2013 at Broward College. Also for those who are entering (or) looking to enter the Nursing Program in Fall 2013.
We are exactly one year away from this program. So tell me what classes are you taking or have left?
I have Fall Math Intermediate, A&P II lab only, and Computers (need 6 credits to get loans.) Winter College Algebra or Statistics and Chem 1032& Chem lab
Summer Microbiology and Micro Lab.
Yesterday I visted advisement at South, and when I was leaving I got a wake up call that now I will only live, eat, breath nursing school. I never felt this way before. Once me and my advisor went over my Education Plan I started to feel that school going to get harder. Hey I can do this and so can you.
Questions guys what General Math Requirement did you take? I took Mac1105. However a friend told me I needed Statistics to apply to the program. I never heard or seen that ever.... Comments please.
I took MGF1106 because I wanted a higher GPA..so if you're looking to do the same I would suggest this course. Very easy and basic! I ended up with an A! You don't need stats for the program but you do need it for the BSN..you only need a general math class! Hope this helps!
Whoohoo done with the HESI!! 92% overall..all that studying did pay off. Sending in my application Monday b/c they are closed today...then starts the waiting game.

Hopefully I'll be reporting back here soon with my HESI results.
FYI: I heard that you can take the HESI now without waiting 6 months. There's still 2 attempts policy though. My counselor said its effective immediately. I was wondering what made them change the policy. Maybe not a lot of applicants meet their new HESI criteria?
