Broward College August 2012

Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

if you go to the NUR1020 north campus teachers website, ...i think the book list is there started to browse through.

The book list and most of the information we will need for the 1st semester was posted yesterday for North campus. The welcome letter provides information for the first few days of class.

Good to luck to everyone as we begin our journey through nursing school!!!

Did north send out an email? Did anyone get the text on how are binder should look?

The profressor for np1 updated her website and all the information you need should be there, posted on the website are: welcome letter, calender, math questions and answers, lecture slides and what is needed for the first day of class.

The email that was sent out with schedule has a number that you should text if you want to see a picture of what the binder should look like.

south campus would be last because our orientation is not till after the first day. And I dont think they're going to send out the emails until after they know whose really in the program (which is after the day for forms to be turned in).

For south: since school starts the 24th and the mandatory lab is the 28th... Do we go to class the 24th? Or do we start on the 28th? Sorry if it's a stupid question..I just don't want to miss anything lol

I am pretty sure we start on the 24th and the "orientation" is just really meeting whoever it was that emailed us, i can not remember her name. I do not think its going to be an actual orientation just a meet and greet then we start the clinical. So basically just a regular clinical. Does anyone know about the so called uniform and if we need it for the first week?

We also need other items for clinicals. I think they should give us a orientation after everyones paper work is in but before classes start not after

I think we need info but I am really happy orientation is when it is, I have a trip till aug 15 and if I need to cancel or alter it will cost alot
