Broward College August 2011

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

just checked my emails and nothing. i tell you, they are so confusing. at orientation they say tuesday, then we get an email saying we could start on friday, now back to tuesday. not loving this! :uhoh3:

i got that email also and just posted it for others to see.....

i think we all need to take a deep breathe and relax. as they said in orientation there wil be enough seats for us all..... i personally want to attend north campus but is willing to go to whichever campus i get into. either way i plan on making the best of my experience and be succcesful in the program.

Got the same email... I will just be up like everyone else in the morning at 8:00am, if they drop me I will just re-register... Hopefully there is no conflict in the system with dropping and then re-adding for those who went ahead and registered...

Aug 18th needs to hurry up and get here so all of this madness can go away and everyone can finally be on the same page!!!

If you registered for your RN classes already, you will be dropped. *It will be your responsibility to register yourself back in your classes tomorrow after 8:00 a.m.

Thank god! Because I was beginning to worry that I had blocks... Even woke up at 6 to go to the school for no reason! From now on I will only be following the directions given to me via the school. No need to stress guys

I was wondering who would turn out to be right, the Coordinator from the meeting stating the 19th or the Welcome letter that said the 15th.

I was dropped from all my classes already, so I know the answer to that one lol

No worries though, it looks like pretty much everyone was dropped. I hope we don't crash any computer systems tomorrow at 0800 with everyone registering at the same time :uhoh3:

Alana, did you also notice that in the email we received it says we could turn in our paperwork until the date stated. Not only on that date like they said in orientation. I wonder who is right on that one too LOL! I am going to try and submit my packet on Thursday. The worst that could happen is they say no :eek:

hey! just wanted to let you guys know that they sent an email saying if u registered today you will be dropped and u will have to do it again tomorrow! make sure u check to see if they drop u or not!

and did anyone find out if we can use ceufast.com? im trying to get the certificates done!

I called the south campus nursing dept and the guy that answered said they would as long as they have the FBN # and they do.

I think for north it is 2mrw-tues. But 4 south it begun on friday and ends around the second wk of august. Check the email for south...2bsure.
