Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?
do any of you know if they accept the bls cpr course from nursing unlimited even though is 4 hours instead of 8?please let me know
thanks!!
you should probably just give them the card instead of the certificate. I did mine through nursing unlimited as well and it was an updated training. I took BLS many years ago and I don't where i put the original 8rs one. I plan on going there next week to get clarification on many things.
I already paid my $29 and i paid for my background check. I plan on doing the fingerprinting and the drug screening next week and i want to have my CEU'S done by nxt week. I talked to some1 in the nursing department today and she said that you can do the ceu's from websites such as ceufast.com as long as they r approved by the FL board of nursing. I already got the schedule for south campus..i'm waiting 4 the rest to come out.
I did not get anything from South campus Did they email it to your BC account?
I got a response today that they are accepting the Sheridan Technical Core classes :)
They expire in May, so I will eventually have to do the update classes. But I feel better now.
Hopefully I will get the South campus email soon! That is my 1st choice!

They do accept the BLS from nursing unlimited, I did mine with them and had no problems when I turned it in. And the same goes for ceufast.com I did all of my CEUS through them and just matched up the courses to those that were required and also no problems when I turned them in
Hey all I'm new to the site.. but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in on the original post...
I will be starting the Program in the Fall at South campus (crossing my fingers). I attended the admissions meeting yesterday and learned that South campus has fewer seats available than North and Central... To be honest I went back and forth about what campus I want to attend because I kept hearing mixed things about both, but in the end I think it really just comes down to you as a student. I have friends that have attended both South and Central and I hear the same thing about both campuses. Some friends think it's easy, others are failing and that's at both campuses... I have heard equally about both that they are hard or they are definately doable. It really just depends on your study habits.... You should be fine at either campus you choose as long as you are dedicated and study hard. (I know I sound like a counselor) but it is 100% true. Either way, if South has seats, I'll be there starting on Aug 18th!!!! :anpom: So if you choose south, I'll see you there!!! :)
