Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?
Does anyone know what the Microbiology Lecture & Lab schedule looks like during the summer term? I would like to take it this summer but need to figure things out at work. Thank you!
I'm not sure if Summer is different than the other terms, but in a regular term you have lecture 1-2 days a week and lab 2 days a week.
The lab at South is really difficult. There is a lot of information and not a lot of 'teaching'. Make sure you read the labs before going to class so you are prepared and have enough time to get through all of the experiments.
I am so sadI was only able to find an open Micro class in North campus. This is going to really suck since I work in downtown Miami.
Find out when the deadline to pay is. As soon as it passes, go online and look IMMEDIATELY. Anyone who doesn't pay by the deadline will be automatically dropped so you might be able to grab their slot. That's what I had to do last summer for chem.
If you absolutely have no choice and have to take it next semester, yes, pay for it, because it will cost the same whether you take it at north or somewhere else and you'll get dropped if you don't pay it. Just check continuously after the payment due date because the numbers switch literally in minutes. Also look a few times a day now. People are always adding and dropping classes.
You girls have given me some hope :) I was really upset thinking this was it. I will then pay for my classes since I am going to take it no matter what. But I will continue to check a few times per day and then like a crazy person once the payment deadline arrives :) :)
I am not sure what the time cutoff is for payment, but it is an automated process that drops people from classes if they are not paid in full, so you might want to get on the day after the cutoff at midnight if you are that worried. I am not sure how many offerings they have at the campus you are looking for but I do know that seats always open up. The other thing you can do is go in to see an advisor and plead your case. They can override the class limit and get you in.
