Broward College August 2010

Published

Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

Thanks! Yes, I had to let them know I turned in my new HESI scores last week and my application never changed to pre admission. So she changed it and told me to llok out for a new email. Which I did receive.

Coda- How many points did you have and what was your HESI score, if you don't mind me asking?

I had 8 points and 85% on th HESI

Well congrats! I am going to go in person to speak to someone. I was not accepted in August, but hopefully I will for January. I have 12 points and and 85% on Hesi. Wish me luck! =)

Oh okay.. Good Luck! As long as you passed all the sections of the HESI you should be fine.

I scored really high on all the sections except anatomy. I actually failed that one. I am thinking that is why I didn't get accepted in August. I am going to ask the advisor if I should take that part of the HESI again.

Hi Ericaj that is definetly the reason. I had a 72 in A&P and high on everything else and my application said "in review" the whole time..i decided to retake it and then scored an 88...I turned in my new score and that very same day it changed to pre-admission. They say it doesnt matter but it does. My advice to you is to retake it. I had 9 pts.

Re-take the HESI!! I was told to just wait and not re-take by a person in health science admissions and they were wrong. As soon as I re-took my status changed to pre-admission.

I found out about a week ago that I'm accepted in January. At least I hope that's what the email means! Can't wait to meet you all!

The advisor told me today to definitely re-take it. She said I could just re-take that section and not re-take the whole test. That HESI study guide does not prepare you at all for the a & p section. I am going back to my a&p book to study! Congrats to all that got in already for January!

Thank You so much! I will be taking it again Thurs morning. I only paid $28! Is there another fee or something? Oh, nvm. I still need to pay for the code.

I just signed up at FAU and only paid $28. What code are you talking about? I don't see any other fee. Thanks =)

EricaJ- When I studied for A & P, I read all of the chapter summaries from my class textbook and then just went over the areas I had trouble with. I also reviewed the text we used for HCP. It really helped me have success on that section! Good Luck!
