Broward College August 2010

Published

Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

There are only two quest labs that do the drug test. One is in Plantation. I don't know where the other one is. The one in Plantation is close to the fingerprinting place. I did both on the same day.

Specializes in ED.

By the way, I remembered something that they tell you, at least at north campus. They tell you that if you have financial aid, you have to purchase the lab kit now, which is something you do not need until the second course, which would be in October. They say if you keep the receipt you can bring it back later if you do not need it. THIS IS NOT TRUE! The bookstore will NOT take it back after the refund date, and they tell you when you buy it that the sale is FINAL. Also, if you have financial aid, you have your aid available for each session, so you can purchase books/supplies in the bookstore right before the next course begins, even if its the middle of the semester for everyone else. You may have to bring in a copy of your schedule to prove to the bookstore that you are enrolled in a session 4 course (thats the courses that start in the second 8 weeks of the semester). Anyway, just thought I would let you know. The kit is $130, so its not something you want to be stuck with if you can't return.

Thx for the heads up... What comes in the kit?

Does anybody know where we have to go for drug testing? is the the address on the form or is it in any of the forms we have to fill out?

I remember them telling us that we can go to any quest but there are some that do not participate with Broward College. I do not remember which ones those are and do not know what or where to go.

J- You can go on the website and it will ask for a criteria of which type of test you need. Then it will give you the locations of where you can go. I went to the location in Plantation, which is behind the post office off of Pine Island. Not far from Central campus and close to the fingerprinting place.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!

I turned in all the documents today and wanted to let everyone know there is a lady that will notarize your health form in admissions but all the paperwork goes to building 8. The woman in admissions took my documents and put them in the box of applications. Thank God I noticed that!! This was at central campus.

Also, the lady in bldg 8 said there were several people getting dropped for incorrect registration so again...check your schedules.

To add to Suebird's post...they will notarize your physical in Bldg 8 too. I had mine already notarized, but she told me they could do it there if anyone needed.

so what exactly needs to be notarized ?

You should have recv'd an email with a physical form...the last page is a notary page.

yeah I got that e-mail so thats the only thing that needs to be notarized

What is the difference between the form SHE sent us in our email and the form we print here ?

Do we do both of these pages or just the one SHE sent us because these forms looked the same except for one being notorized

I did my fingerprints today, it was fun :p Even though it only lasted for 5 minutes. They do it electronically now!! The movies need to update their technology
