Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Yea I got the email and I did read It that we do not use the book on rate my professor . So I am just going to wait but if you can share where you get the free 2nd edition it would be helpful :)

@belletifi Hey ! And yeah Im not sure or clear about the failing classes either i gotta find out about that again. But with Stella from the nursing club i know her lol me and her had a class together and she is very smart! What may seem easy to her could be different for others you know . Just work at your own pace. I'm sure we will do good if we all study well !

Good morning guys and gals I went to central campus bookstore to purchase all of my books and supplies today I was told I wouldn't be able to buy anything until august tenth. Career source is paying for my tuition books and supplies and they gave me vouchers I was able to pay for my classes but can't purchase books or supplies. Is their really a certain date that you allowed to buy stuff from the bookstore any info would be appreciated. Thanx in advance

On the BC website it states the date financial aid is accepted in the book store (aug 10) when I went a week ago the said they would have the books to purchase though if you wanted to do it out of pocket. Wonder why they have a wait date for FASFA. QUITE frustrating. Lol that gives me 2 weeks to study before class starts. Sigh...

That explains it they assumed I had financial aid hence the wait until august tenth. I have cash vouchers I will go to north campus to purchase my books and supplies don't feel like arguing with the incompetents here at the central campus bookstores

Again, welcome to the North Campus Nursing program!

Attached if some information for your review.

Also, those you of registered for NUR 1020 on Mondays and Friday's…..you have the ability to switch to the Thursday morning (8:00am-11:55am) Math section. If you are interested please send me an email.

I have spoken with the Math professor and she said you will not have an exam the first week of class.

????? does this make sense to anyone i though he said the additional math course/help was on thursday mornings, or are they on friday morning?

Confused as well... Hmmm. Maybe reply and ask him to clarify. I thought that thursday class was supplemental to our original math class??

He offered to let us take it on Thursday mornings so we can learn better by not having too much people in one class. I don't think it was a math help class I believe it was the actual math class he was speaking of. I'm glad the math test won't be on the first week though !

Hmmm gotcha. Either way I won't be able to take it. My Process 1 is Mon Thurs. Thank God for no math test the first week...I would freak. 😔

Hey guys question for the people who are taking out loans . When you got to studentloans.gov and go to promissory note .do we only do the subsidized/unsubsidized mpn ? Or do we also do * plus mpn for graduate/ professional students and * plus mpn for parents ?

South campus

Orientation packages are available in the bookstore now just bought one. $18 for a packet of paper O_o!!

Also they were getting the nursing kits ready when I got there it's in a broward college drawstring bag I wasn't able to purchase one because they weren't priced yet.

In regards to scrubs xxs and xs are available I saw medium and large no smalls though :(

We will also need a nursing lab coat it has these cuffs on the sleeves different from the actual lab coat from normal classes. They run big no xs were available in that one.

I also bought an ID holder the lady said we would need one.

What are some good nursing shoes, i have wide feet.
