Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Maybe check CEUFAST.COM using the promo code BROWARD. You may be able to get them done sooner on there. :)

Do you know the list for ceufast.com ... this what I have done so far on that website ...... 1) florida law and rules that govern the practice of nursing 3 hours .....2) osha: occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens 1 hour .......3)tuberculosis 2 hours .... 4) hepatitis c : beyond the basic understanding hepatitis c 2 hours ....... 5) aids/hiv 4 hours....... what else am I missing .... thank you in advance

i don't think the codes matter much the class will be listed alongside with the campus, once you type in nur everything comes up, the names of the courses havent changed

They do. ..sometimes the codes they email are not the same that come up in that search for courses.

If you add up Tb/osha/Hepatitis on ceufast is 5 hours (BC ask for 6 hours) so you need to do infection control berrier protection

If you register by searching for NUR courses, you will register wrong. I cannot stress that enough. Please do not do that to register. Use the 6 digit reference numbers the campuses send you.

Oops! I thought we were getting the codes today by email , I guess it's just the doctor papers!

Anyone received the email for the forms yet?

YES! I have all of those done. They are correct.

No, not yet, I think she said a little over noon or at noon today.

Hi folks.

Just in case anyone is looking for a walk-in for their medical stuff ...

Late last year I did the physical exam, titers, immunizations, etc. for a CNA program.

After quite a bit of price checking around Broward, the cheapest place I found was:

Doctors365

Doctors 365

1368 North University Drive

Plantation, FL 33322

(954) 577-0001

I had a really good experience there.

(Well, as good as getting poked with needles can be.)

They post their prices online, and they have "student specials".

You can also make appointments online and they actually honor them when you show up!

If you go ... it's just a tad tricky to find ... it's on the east side of University ...

but it's set back a bit so you cant actually see it from the street.

Good luck all. ... BTW ... still no email from BC yet ... :-)

I believe you need the Domestic Violence 2 clock hours.

Also, the OSHA/TB/HEP calls for 6 clock hours... so I read somewhere down the thread you need to include 1 clock hour of infection control barrier??

I will most likely clarify all of this with Nicole.
