Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

You log in to your Broward email and go to "Settings" from there you will go to "General" and click "Text Messaging" then follow the prompts and add your cell phone number. It will send you notifications whenever you get a new email.

I couldn't find it. I went on my email.

So its just the hcp001 course that is no longer required for the nursing program is that correct

I really hope we find out tomorrow I was only awarded two points so I'm freaking out

Hopefully find out tommorow the wait is killing me

You will be just fine as long as you meet the minimum requirements besides this semester they didn't get as many applicants as they had hoped for(just my hunch)

Which campus did you apply to?

Yes, HCP is no longer needed. The other courses are still required.

What other courses are required ? This is my first time hearing of this ...

The email says something about the College doing maintenance . I don't think it's something serious as to if you didn't get the email it means something bad .

surprisingly my advisor nor did health admissions rep ever mention to me about having these continuing education courses done whatsoever, i just checked all of the courses are not even available to take prior to fall unless you take them elsewhere either at Sheridan or perhaps ceufast.com (nurse continuing education)

HSC0591- HIV/AIDS

HSC0522- TB/OSHA/HEPATITIS

HSC0405- CPR Basic Life Support

HSC0691Domestic Violence

HSC0692- Prevention of MedicalErrors

CAE0644- Florida Laws andRules for Nursing andRespiratory Care

I believe most of these can be taken online, except for CPR.
