Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Reading the vital chapter first..writing up a study guide for the things I found important or I didn't know. I'm going to try to accomplish the first exam chapters listed. Also brush up on some math. Here's the exam 1 reading list that was from May.

I found the fundamentals book to be an easy read, a lot of info, but nothing too hard to swallow, so far I have read the hygiene and patient safety chapter :) 6 chapters for 1st exam isn't bad, I expected it would have been more chapters to cover for the first exam.

I agree! Just a lot of info..and repetitive. Many say don't take the tests lightly and read deep and retain the info. Ugh the stress. Lol. Keep up the good work bellefiti! Any reading ahead we are doing is beneficial i am sure!! :)

will do :)

I enjoyed Patient Safety. Ive read Vitals 3 times. I couldn't retain any info. So on the 3rd time I took notes. Writing things down helps me retain the info. I just started Health Assessment.

Yeah it is tons of info on the chapters . Writing notes helps for sure!

Um what exactly do we bring on the first day like books wise? Fundamental textbook or the cox clinical etc etc lol there are so many so I don't know which to bring cause I can't take all with me of course.

I believe they we tell us on D2L.

I liked the hygiene chapter :)

Can my Central Campus peers raise their hands? 5 more days, but who's counting? ha..

Central right here!!! Nerves settling in

Hey guys so for South's orientation, we wear our scrubs with our white shoes right? I'm so ready & nervous for our first class Monday 😩😭

@ladiimelodi me too! Did we have to bring anything for orientation besides our ID?

South campus students! Did anyone receive an email regarding orientation cause I didn't. Please let me know because I'm not sure where on the campus its going to be held. ??
