I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

I am new to the site and everyone here seems pretty familiar with the site and Broward's Program. I am planning on applying to the program for January 2016 all of my pre reqs are completed( AP1,AP2,ENC1101). I just have not taken the HESI as of yet. I had a couple of questions, for the GPA that they are calculating is it only for the pre reqs because I seen that on the site but was not quite sure. They are only calculating the pre req GPA and your HESI score for admissions?

Welcome nursejock! Yes. They calculate your gpa with the pre reqs and include HESI. Also what some don't tell you is that when you get into the program..if you haven't completed Microbio (chem pre req with that) social/behavioral class, and a humanities class you MUST before you complete the program. Many didn't know that...now ontop of their nursing classes those 3 must be completed too. Just a heads up incase you haven't taken those before you send in your application. Best of luck! :)

Yes it was 8$ at the swap per top (I got two). Really excited for Monday!

I know it's getting close to the first day but if anyone needed a room to rent to be by north campus let me know. Private entrance and bathroom. In safe, gated neighborhood on the lake. Includes wifi, cable, electric, water and is partially furnished. Has small fridge and microwave, 650$ a month plus security. Let me know [email protected]

South campus students! Did anyone receive an email regarding orientation cause I didn't. Please let me know because I'm not sure where on the campus its going to be held. ??

Building 71 room 101 and begins promptly at 8 sign in table will start at 7:30 am

Now has anyone checked D2L yet? Do we have to do some of these things before the first day of class?

Now that we've all gotten into our respective campuses, should we make threads for each respective campus in order to be more organized? Or should we keep it all together?

I was wondering the same. @Acitrone2011 made a FB for North. I think we(North) should start using it. And check in here to see how we are all doing here and there.
