Brookhaven- Spring 2011

Published

I just turned in my application for Spring 2011 at Brookhaven. Anyone else out there?

I was told when they were reviewing my packet that they now accept 60 for fall and 40 for spring.

With no one receiving the +3 bonus/reserve points, it seems the point total may be less than in previous semesters.

Does anyone know what the minimum was for Fall admission?

I haven't gotten my email yet! Don't feel to confident about getting in though, so let's wait...

Just got my email as well and points were good. Now let's see what happens.

Good Luck everyone! They rejected my elective so that dropped my points I am out! I know for sure I will get in next time. It just bites really wanted to get this done! Please let me know once all of you are accepted:up:! Also let me know what was the lowest points accepted. Maybe knowing I def. get in next time will take the sting off!

I received my email with my points total.

Now the dreaded wait begins again.

Anyone want to guess what the lowest accepted points total will be?

Well, since they dropped the 3 extra points for readmission, and are no longer accepting hesi scores from other campuses, it can't be as high as last semester. There were some way high point totals last time. The lowest that I had heard got in for last semester was 31.7. And that was after they allowed 20 more students. But, there has to be quite a few people that had to retake the hesi, me being one of them. Oh well, nothing like a bit of drama.

Well, this may be a bit preemptive, but I am not worried about not getting in this time. I am sure the 3rd time is a charm! I have created a facebook page for people who get accepted... feel free to join once letters come out! For those who don't make it this time, remember that registration is next month and see if any support courses are offered over winter break! Dosage was one of those easy classes that hardly requires any time...

I am currently the administrator, and will be accepting members once we meet at success camp, to verify you being in the class. Good luck all! :nurse:

I hear ya Sweetpea! I feel the same way about next time! I have taken all support classes! Since the school I went to and am trying to get credit for my elective closed. I need to track down the course info. to prove that the class is equivalent to DCCCD's class. This was my first time applying, so next time I am getting in. I am going to improve my Hesi and be good to go! Good Luck everyone! Keep us posted!

Sweet! I'm pretty optimistic too, but this is my first go-round. Plus, I need to see the schedule to see if it's even feasible for me to go yet. I need a just a little lead time to move heaven and earth :)

Anyway, thanks for setting up the Facebook page. Good luck!

So the email said that disputes were going to be completed by Nov 5th. When do you think we will know our fate?

If no one contested, I feel like we will find out this week! My friend says they would probably send out letters at the end of the day on Friday, so they can leave the office right after and not have to deal with any emails or phone calls, lol. I hope no one contested!!

*fingers crossed**

I figured that they would not come until closer to Thanksgiving. I received my acceptance to El Centro already. If I get in at Brookhaven, that will be a tough choice. Hard to choose between the two programs.
