Is anyone applying to Brookhaven for the Spring 2010 semester? How many points do you have? I take the Hesi on Sept 17th... worried about the A&P portion.
I have 14.1 points without the HESI points. I have all the classes and support courses completed with the exception of End of Life Issues (couldn't get in because it was full).
Has anyone taken the exam - was it terrible? I haven't taken A&P in about 7 years, so I am nervous about it. I am aiming for a 91 on the HESI...
How many points do you have without the Hesi points?
What was your score on the HESI?
Have you applied before?
Thank you all for you kind words. To those of you that got in did you have all of your classes completed? It is just so frustrating to be doing everything I can think to do and not getting anywhere. I moved here from Wisconsin over a year and a half ago and I have been plugging away at these classes. I had to deal with them not excepting some of my classes from the college there. I know other people have things going on also and I am just venting here so thank you all for listening to it. I feel like I know hardly anyone and the people that I do know certainly are not going to college at my age. So thanks to all of you that responded to me. I wish all of you the best of luck with the program.
Like bradibear, I had all support courses(except End of Life) and got an 88.23 on the HESI. it was also my second time to apply so I was able to take advantage of the extra 3 points. I completely understand the frustration and hard work put into this.....I will be 36 when the semester starts, so I feel pretty intimidated by that, too! Hang in there, you WILL get in if you just keep plugging away. I first started this endeavor in January of 2007 as a single parent of a 5 month old...it has not been fun but it is sure to pay off!!!! Don't give up!

I had most of my support courses done, except for pathos and end of life when I applied. I'm taking pathos right now so I'll only have end of life left. I got a 93.13% on my hesi and this is my second time applying. I'm turning 36 next month and I'm really glad I got in because I don't have that much time to wait around. I'm so sorry for those of you that did not get in, I understand your dissapointment, but just hang in there and don't give up!
I e-mailed a professor about the book list and she sent me the following reply:
"The books are cheaper if you buy them in a package which I don't think
the bookstore has yet. Majors might have them.

I am shocked that all of you with 28, 29, and 30 points did not get in!! The past several semesters have all shown that 28 and above was good enough to get you in!! I am so sorry for all that did not get in.
I was accepted; I had 31.42 points. Best of luck on the next go around, I know you all will make then! Keep your chin up!
