Anyone here applying to Brookhaven's nursing program next month for their Fall 2012 admission?
I am..I need to take the HESI one more time in hopes of getting a higher score. The only support class that I do not have complete is End of Life so I hope with a higher HESI score and a good interview score I will have enough points to get in!
I know I wasn't the original poster about the scheduling nightmares, but to name a few...Class days changing with little notice, having to do clinicals on a holiday that we were supposed to get off, clinical days being changed or added with little or no notice.
If you work or need to work it is best to have a flexible job that is okay with you taking off with little warning.
Thanks for answering! That does sound really frustrating. I don't think I will be working during the program though so I should be okay. I feel bad to those who do have to work though or who have children and need more concrete schedules!!
The only thing I am worried about is my husband and I share 1 car. I wonder if I will be able to find a classmate to carpool with at least to and from clinical sites. I only live 3 miles from Brookhaven too so I'm not too worried about getting to school, just getting to clincals.
@briterz, I can totally understand that worry! When you make it in I am sure people will help carpool. Keep us in mind if you need a ride!

@escapebigd, thank you. That is very helpful. I work full time so my husband can go to school. I have already given my work a heads up that I may need to have a flexible schedule because we have two kids.
