Anyone here applying to Brookhaven's nursing program next month for their Fall 2012 admission?

I am..I need to take the HESI one more time in hopes of getting a higher score. The only support class that I do not have complete is End of Life so I hope with a higher HESI score and a good interview score I will have enough points to get in!

*BUMP*

I turned in my application today. I only have 28.89 points so I'm a little worried but AC seemed to think it would be okay. Now to wait..ughh! lol

She also said that they haven't had as many people apply this semester..I wonder why?

I also applied for Brookhaven's program. That is a relief to hear that they had less people turn in apparently, but I too am curious why!! Good luck to you!

Thanks, good luck to you too!

I honestly think that the majority of students that are trying to get into nursing school are going straight for the Universities and BSN degrees and are not starting with their associates so they aren't bothering with applying at Brookhaven. I hear nothing but good things about Brookhaven's program and I know a few nursing students who are currently in the program and they love it so I'm not worried that there is an issue with the program itself.

I too want to get my BSN in nursing but I plan on starting with my ADN and then doing Brookhaven's UTA bridge program. It's a seamless transition and you don't have to worry about competing with others to get into a university that way.

That was my original plan but financially I could not afford a University right now. I had a friend graduate from the program and she has spoke very highly of it.

My husband is waiting to hear back if he gets an interview. I am very nervous..i want to know! I also heard that not as took the HESI as before.

My husband took End of Life, and he wasn't that impressed with it. Be prepared to write papers!

Has this been the longest few weeks ever? I am so ready to hear something! How has everyone else been coping?

Yeah I am hating this wait! We should be getting an email on Friday confirming our application points but I don't think they will tell us if we have been picked to go onto the next step (interviews) until sometime in April. Maybe I'm wrong though.

From what the website said, [TABLE=class: timeline]

From what my husband was told, this is how and when they will find out if they get an interview. This wait has been so daunting for my husband and i. I am going to be on pins and needles tomorrow!!

@Stephanie good luck to your husband! How many points did he apply with?

Shoot, I cant remember. I think 28/29? Right now we are waiting for that email...i hate the wait!!! Good luck to you too!
