Brookhaven email?????

I have a class with one of the nursing instructors, and repeatedly she told us there were slightly over 200, and I heard the figure 230. I have never heard 300. And I think we are getting conflicting information too. For example I came right out and asked did she think I had a chance with my low points in the 20's, and she said there were a lot of points in the 30's so she didn't know. Now some is saying they were told there weren't many in the 30's. It's driving me crazy!!!!!

Since my last email came at 1am, I have literally been waiting for this email (or the lack thereof) since Sunday night at 1am.

I think you guys are what's keeping me sane. It feels good to know that others are as stressed about this as I am. Maybe we should try talking about something else...what area does everyone want to go into? Maybe it's silly, but at least it will pass the time

I know they always say that you won't know until you do your clinicals, but I think I would be interested in the ER. My ultimate goal is to be a nurse practitioner, so after I graduate I'm going back to TWU to finish the rest.

When I asked ### yesterday she told me all of that. She said a little over 300 applicants. You asked her about the points and that is what she said??? She is lying to us! Why would she tell you something and me another?? I swear, the stuff I told you was exactly what she told me yesterday at 4:30pm! That is so weird...

You guys are keeping me from going postal. This has been the longest couple of days. I want to start in the ER too. I was thinking that I would have more compassion for children, and I would go into peds, but now I don't know. I have recently had the opportunity to do some volunteer work with adults in cardio, and I found I have a lot of compassion for them as well.

Yay, I've heard to wait until clinicals, too. But, right now I'm thinking OB. we'll see...I guess I have to get in to nursing school first

I know it's so frustrating waiting to hear...I have heard so many rumors all along, so for my sanity I'm just waiting for that stupid email before I take it for granted that I'm in. I've met so many people over the last year that didn't get in on their 1st try, so I don't want to get my hopes up too high. BUT, that's when there was an interview and the decision was based solely on that. I have over analyzed this process, so the only thing I can do now is wait

No...I didn't get the info from Ann, but one of the nurse instructors. And I don't doubt what your saying...I am just saying I don't understand why they are giving everyone conflicting information. It's insane.

Ya'll have more guts than me! I'm just too scared to call for fear of rejection.

Anyway! I would like to go into pediatriac oncology. At first, I was like I could never deal with kids and seeing their faces in pain. However, I think I would rather work with children than work with grown ups who can sometimes be big babies! I'd also like to work either in the ER or in the ICU.

Ok! I just called. She said that they are doing one last look over the final ones at 3:30, but she said it would be a little late when she actually gets them most likely (but still maybe sooner) , so it might be tomorrow..........AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I can't believe this is taking sooooo long! I was fine until yesterday and now I'm just going crazy. I don't understand what's taking so long, either. I mean it seems pretty cut and dry...the points were final within this last week, so you pick the top 40-right? oh well. I keep telling myself to step away from the computer and yet I am still sitting here hitting refresh :)
