Did anyone get their e-mail from Brookhaven today?

I didn't get an e-mail either today. I have offically given up. I know now what to expect.

A LOT OF STRESS! :scrying:

Mustang, I am so sorry you didn't get an email. I didn't get one either. I think the whole big 3 day drama thing just made it worse. I couldn't sleep, and have a stress headache from hell. I am behind in all my work, and have a quiz tomorrow I am not prepared for. Then after 3 full days it was so anti-climatic. They didn't even send me an email which after the 3 days of hell they put me through I would have felt appreciative of. I am just dissappointed, disillusioned, exhausted, stressed to the point of not feeling well, and I am mad because of how the whole situation went down. I understand I will have more points next time, and will more than likely get in. I am dissappointed I didn't get in, but not mad. I am mad because of the way it was handled. It was such a horrible mess that really disrupted my whole "everything". I am sure I am not the only one to feel this way...as there are 260 others in the same boat this evening.

I know how ya'll feel. :o I know it probablly isn't too encouraging as you are feeling very disappointed and stressed, but I just wanted to say don't give up. You never know if someone else could drop, or decide they can't do this now and a spot will open up. I got a nice pretty rejection letter (trust me the letter doesn't make it any better) and I was devestated. Then a few days before skills lab started I got an e-mail saying somebody dropped and that I could have their space. You never know what will happen. Even if you have to wait 6 months to get in next time, in the big scheme of things that time will fly by, and you'll look back like it was nothing. I had to apply twice before getting in, and it was tough. Hang in there guys! :o:icon_hug:

Good luck to everyone. Yes it is very hard waiting for the e-mail I remember as if it was yesterday. Remember if you did not get in you have 3 extra points the next time you apply, and some one may drop and if they do before class starts they will fill the spot.

Congrats to everyone who got in! To those who didn't I will say this. Do not give up! The beauty of the Brookhaven Program is that if you don't get in the first time you will almost assuredly get in the second time! I just graduated from the Brookhaven program so I know a little about how that place operates. First of all, they are a fairly new program. They have only been in existance for about four years. As such, they are still experiencing growing pains. Also in the administrations defense, our class graduation/Exit Hesi/ NCLEX stuff is very time consuming and taxing. To top it off they have the satellite program going on as well! I will tell you this, do Not go to another nursing school in this area. You will not find a more supportive group of people anywhere in the metroplex. I worked full time while in nursing school. There is no way that I could do it without them. Yes, they are a little disorganized, but there is no nursing school in the world that isn't a little bit! I encourage you all to follow your dreams! Let me know if you have any questions or you just need to vent a little

Oh yeah and on all of the emails that I have received that were sent to all of the Spring '08 students, there were only 38 people so it looks like they haven't filled the last two spots. Maybe?

Do you know what the scores ended being?

I haven't talked to anyone, but I bet someone will know at Success Camp on Monday and Tuesday. I tried to find out after they sent those emails out but they told me that they didn't know yet...I will try to find out for you!

I asked one of the instructors and was told 27.something.
