Brookhaven College Nursing Program Fall 2014

Hi everyone, I haven't seen any thread about BHC Fall '14 so I made one! I am applying this February at Brookhaven community college for Fall 2014. I took Hesi last year for trial and I will be taking the Hesi for real again this February and I have been studying really hard this Winter break! Goodluck everyone, if I do not get accepted I have plan B which to go ahead and try to apply in UTA.

Almost finished in all precourses needed just Micro and death dying this Spring but they are not counted this application so I am hoping to do well in Hesi!

I took it this semester and it was 3 hrs, one day a week so 5 hrs makes sense for summer

LindsayP229, yes it really is that long most days. Every once in a while we would finish early and she would let us go but not very often. Heads up you will have to do 8-10 hrs of community service. Try and get it done ASAP, I did mine at a Vitas hospice center in Irving. You will also have a power point project; groups of 2.

Since you barely use the book in end of life. Do you study the powerpoints for the tests/quizzes?

I would review the power points and just listen in class. I didn't know of anything online that would help with the quizzes but someone else posted something about it. It's not a difficult class just time consuming b/c you have to be there and it could get very dull at times.

Has anyone received any more emails or info on the next steps to take or about success camp... anything? I know they said it would be a while but I haven't gotten anything

I emailed Nancy and she said she is finishing up on the graduating class and after that she will be emailing the follow up emails out.
