Brookhaven ADN Spring 2020

Hello everybody! I will FINALLY be applying for Brookhaven for the Spring 2020 entrance. I have watched previous forums to see what to expect and I'm excited but nervous. Are there any students here enrolled in the concurrent enrollment through Brookhaven and Texas Tech? I hope to hear more from you guys as we go through this process!

Don't give up @dmyre! if you can get those texas tech classes in that helps alot.

My friend, who applied with about the same amount of points as me, also got an interview invite but she declined the interview with Brookhaven as she has already been accepted elsewhere... So, fortunately, there's a maximum of 49 people interviewing for the 40 spots.

Hopefully that eases everyone's mind just a tiny bit.

Thank you so much! This helped and was extremely reassuring. I found out today after meeting with Barbara that the minimum for interview invites was 26.1. Keep your head up everyone! I'll be retaking my HESI next month to hopefully boost my points.

I had a 26.7 and didn’t get an interview...

There were people w/ 26.6 and 26.7 points that did not get an interview.

I believe they look specifically at the A&P scores on HESI and the grades you got in your science classes on top of total points is what Barbara made it sound like.

That makes sense. My points are lower on the spectrum compared to most others that have expressed they got interview invites, but I was able to score a 100% on the HESI A&P and have As and Bs in my science courses.

Alright guys the interviews are tomorrow! Just wanted to pop on here and say good luck to anyone interviewing. Its a feat to have made it this far and no matter what happens tomorrow we all rock! Good luck and remember to breathe!?‍⚕️?‍⚕️

About how long after interviews will it be before you guys know if you got accepted? End of October? First of November?

We haven't been told yet! They just gave us our interview date and times. I'm assuming that they will tell us when we'll hear back from them tomorrow after we interview.

I can’t sleep i’m so nervous! I read through the old threads and found out the interviews are group interviews with whoever is in our time block, and we get asked about 2 questions each.

Some people said it wasn’t too bad but group interviews make me more nervous than individual ones.

Also, I think people said they got notified of acceptances a couple days (less than a week) afterwards but we’ll have to ask them during the interviews when they think it’ll be because of the weekend coming up. ?

Alright so I heard we will hear by monday by 5 but tuesday at the latest. Did anyone hear anything else?
