Brookhaven ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hello everybody! I will FINALLY be applying for Brookhaven for the Spring 2020 entrance. I have watched previous forums to see what to expect and I'm excited but nervous. Are there any students here enrolled in the concurrent enrollment through Brookhaven and Texas Tech? I hope to hear more from you guys as we go through this process!

Just a reminder: When Brookhaven added the Texas Tech classes, the minimum set of points that got accepted for Fall 2019 would go up by 6 points (I hope this make sense) for the Spring 2020 entrance. Not to mention if some applicants retook classes, scored higher on HESI, have a higher gpa, etc... So most of you guys who will be re-applying for Fall 2020 need to aim for at least 28 points or higher. I'm hoping after everything is said and done, I will have 30 points by February. I hope this will clear up the confusion of why some people are not getting interviews even with 23, 24, and 25 points.

And to add on to that, the fall accepts 20 more applicants than the spring!

Well all of the rejection emails went out today, so congrats to the people that will be moving forward

I want to. I'm going to talk to Nancy tomorrow to go over my application and see what I can do better for next semester

I’m curious to know what the cut off was, I applied with 26.7 and didn’t make it.

I figured that cut off was going to be very high...

I'm assuming the Texas Tech classes and medical experience are really having an effect on points.

You have some time to get every thing together so no rush right now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I'll be applying for Fall 2020 since I missed this go around.

Yes they are. That's about 8 points that applicants have to make up for.

I heard there were mock interviews for nursing program. Where can I go?

Yay!! I got my interview time! I’m 1:15-2:45!! Such a weight off my shoulders! I guess they are pushing the timeline back a little bit since the interviews aren’t till the 24th.
