I am new to this site and would like some info from those who have been admitted to, or have finished, Brookhaven's A.S. Nursing Program.
I already have a B.S. Business Administration (Biology minor). I currently have a 4.0 Gpa and ,as of the end of this Fall 09 semester, will only lack 3 support classes all of which will be taken in Spring 2010. I took the Hesi yesterday and made a 95.5. I am not applying until January, for Fall Admission 2010. That gives me only 31 points when I apply.
I am 44 yrs old and NEED to get in on my first try. I don't have years to wait.
Do you think 31 points is good enough to get into the Brookhaven program the first time? I certainly appreciate any input from previous students or graduates. Thank you so much!
Sarah,
Brookhaven works on a point system as opposed to GPA for admittance. From what I remember, the grades made in your core classes can be easily offset with a higher HESI score. The HESI is where a majority of the points come from anyway and if you study for it you'll have no problem making a high score. I certainly don't see why a B in one class would be a problem....good luck!!

Hey everyone! I hope I'm not disrupting this thread, but is there even a point in applying to any of the Dallas Community College's nursing program if I received a B in A&P? Thanks! I could use some advice!
