  1. Hey everyone! I hope I'm not disrupting this thread, but is there even a point in applying to any of the Dallas Community College's nursing program if I received a B in A&P? Thanks! I could use some advice!
  2. is it doable to take A&P and work full time? thanks!!
  3. I'm going to Brookhaven. How long did it take you to complete the pre-reqs/support classes and the nursing program? I have a bachelors already. I completed some pre-reqs already and want to try and graduate in 3 years? Do you think that is possible?
  4. thanks! i really want to finish my pre-reqs within a year. i'm a post-bachelor student. i have four knocked out automatically cause of my transferred credits. All A's thankfully. how long did i take for you to finish your pre-reqs and the nursing program.?
  5. do you have any tips for studying or anything else? i'm trying to get my a&p books early, so i can begin studying for the class, but the bookstore said there will be new books and don't know which ones are coming in. should i just e-mail the prof and ask for the title of the books? also, did you get in your first try? i REALLY want to graduate within 2.5-3 years. thanks for answering all the questions!
  6. I am not planning on working, so that I can complete my pre-reqs. luckily, i'm able to afford it. I have 4 pre-reqs/support classes knocked out already because they transferred in from my bachelors degree. So hopefully, I'll get them done within 1.5 years. I'm actually taking chem and a&p together this coming up fall. do you think that is doable? i hear taking both at the same time will be crazy?
  7. Hey everyone! quick question! I'm a new student at brookhaven college. would be it be crazy to take a&p and chemistry in the same semester? i only have science classes left for my pre-reqs because the other classes transferred in from my bachelor's degree. thanks! any advice would help!

  11. Does the RN-BSN online program work for people who did their RN program outside of VA?
  12. I need any advice! Thanks! Here's a little background: 21, female. I have a BA in Early Development Psychology. I decided to go back to school and try to become an RN. I would like to eventually work with children in pediatrics. I'm starting my pre-reqs at Brookhaven College and would like to finish there. Luckily, I have four classes from my bachelor's that were transferred in towards my pre-requisites courses/support classes. I received all A's in them. I plan to take ALL the support classes in order to better my chances at getting accepted. This leaves me with 7 support classes left! I have a few questions.. 1. For those who have gotten accepted and are currently in the nursing program: What were your acceptance stats (GPA, test scores, points) ? 2. How long does the program usually take? I would like to try and be done within 2 -3 years. 3. Did you work full time as well as going to school? everyone keeps telling me to not work full time. 4. Also, I'm taking A&P and Chem in the fall? Is that a crazy schedule?? Thanks!
