Bristol Community College (BCC) Nursing 2021

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to create this thread for students applying to BCC's program for Fall 2021. How are things going for everyone in the current climate? Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, etc. Former/current students, do you have any insight to share?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I wonder how many applicants this year ?

I know I'm curious myself. ? I hope we find out soon. I have until the end of the month to give Laboure my fee to hold my spot in the Summer semester and my spot in the nursing program.

Honestly, I don’t think it matters if we applied early or not that’s why they give us until a certain time to submit it. It also, gave a lot of students time to finish their pre-recs for fall of 2020 and still have time to submit their application before the deadline on Jan 5. All the nurses that I work with at St.Lukes got in the very first time they applied and that’s what’s keeping me lifted at this point. The wait is a bit of a inconvenience but I’m going to assume it means they’re hopefully going through all those applications.

Yea I don't think the date you applied matters . I think they only go by your GPA . You'll be fine! ?

Oh thank you!! It works when I log into it that way, I don’t know why I didn’t try that before haha.
I check this forum more then social media lately! I too have terrible anxiety... Whenever I think of it my heart drops to my stomach it’s awful. I’m trying so hard not to stress what I have no control over but it’s definitely easier said than done ?

I absolutely agree. It's so hard not to stress. I don't have any type of Social media, so this is my way of venting about my anxiety. It's more bearable when I see other people feeling the same way I do LOL

So what is it supposed to say on degree works?

In the section that says Major it will say Traditional Nursing or Ehealth Nursing I'm not sure which one you applied for.

I think it may be too soon to start checking for changes , but you never know! My friends haven't received their disqualification letters yet (we know it's coming, they didn't pass the TEAS). So I believe they are still looking at them all

Curious if I am the only male within our form applying haha

I’m so nervous! Anybody else notice degree works hasn’t been working on their phone? I need to open through a laptop to check it now

Over 900 applicants! Jeesh, and they only accept how many?

900 applications not 900 qualified. They mentioned this in my health info session. More than half I think they said about 500 that year, weren't qualified and were missing requirements or didn't meet the minimum TEAS and/or GPA.

I think they accept 100? 75 traditional and 25 ehealth. My class was 96 at the beginning I think due to people dropping days before we started
