Bridging Program in Australia

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

@simpleClaudia, Thanks you! ☺️

Hi, @laiskee. I can ask some questions regarding how you processed your papers while you are here in Saudi Arabia? Can i get your email-add? Mine is [email protected] Thanks!

Hi everyone! Have been reading your posts and backtracking this thread for info, and it's a lot to take in! Anyone who is eyeing for ACN intake for the later part of 2018? Just received my referral letter from AHPRA and would appreciate any advice on what's next (or for any potential classmates-to-be). Thanks much!

@Habibin. Which part in Saudi are you? I will ask my friend how she proceed with her documents and clearances. I will keep you posted. Keep that dream in sight while Australia still open to skilled migrants like us.

Good luck!

@simpleClaudia. I am in Riyadh. I'll have my final exit on March 2019. I am looking forward for it. Thank you!!

@Habibin. My friend said you can request the good standing online from the saudi council. Please check the website: Request a certificate of good standing

Goodluck to you. Time flies faster than we thought. It took me a year to complete my application process from english test to AHPRA RN registration. Am happy for you! Goodluck!

@simpleclaudia, Thanks a lot :) By the way, are you working now in Oz?

@Habibin. Yes, I am now a permanent resident here in Australia. I am also working as an RN after hours care coordinator. Life is good here. I never regret for trying inspite i am over 40 years old.

@Habibin. By the way, I did everything by myself and I am successful in my efforts. That's the reason why I believe you too can make your plans come to reality in any pathway you choose. I met some great people here (allnurses) who became my classmates and even true friends.

Check AHPRA application form AGOS-40. Its a good way to start in going forward.

@simpleClaudia. In God's will :) Btw, May I know which school did you took your bp?

@Habibin. I had my bridging program with Monash University. I applied directly to the school. Any questions I have, I direct it to them and not to the agency working for them. I checked other providers too. Monash uni was my preference because it saves us some money by doing the 5 weeks theory part online while offshore and fly to Melbourne for the hospital placement part. I worked in the middle east too. I took 54 days leave to finish my placement here and returned to Kuwait and continue working while I process my final nursing registration and PR application. Saves me a lot of stress too. Once i got my PR. Work offers abound everywhere.

Goodluck to you!

Hi to everyone!

I need help.

Where can you have cheap serology tests for vaccines, such as MMR and Varicella?

My school requires me to submit it next week.

Thanks!
