hi, is there a bridging course for international nurses who wants to work as a nurse in Canada? what are the requirements needed for the course? thank you!!:)
Hi golu,
CNO does use WES credential assessment service, that's why CNO is cited among the organizations that use WES reports. (Third party credential assessment). However, you don't need to send your documents to WES.
Once CNO receives all your transcripts in the a sealed envelope, their assessors will begin evaluating your credentials. If your program has not being evaluated before or is not very common, or even if they need verification of authenticity, they send your documents to WES. CNO will pay for this service (included in application fees). This will for sure lengthen the application process.
i spoke to ontario college of nursing today, and they said ielts not required if you have done your nursing education in one of the english speaking countries like us and also it is there in their website for international requirements.
however new requirements for immigration have come into effect and english exam is required if you are the main applicant for pr or work permit. this includes from a english speaking country
are any applicants exempt from the mandatory language test? what about applicants from english or french speaking countries? why would someone from england need to take an english test, for example?
there are no exceptions to this rule. we want to ensure that all applicants are evaluated against the same standards, no matter what their language of origin, nationality or ethnicity.
