States have not required a DNP to be certified as an NP. What is happening is that schools of nursing have been phasing out MS or MSN programs and making the DNP the only degree offered leading to NP training.
QuoteAnyone got a PhD first and then decided to go back to school to get a DNP? Anyone know of schools that offer PhD-DNP bridge programs? I see a lot in internet searches about programs the other way, I.e., DNP-PhD bridge programs, but can't find it the reverse way. I also see DNP/PhD Dual Degree programs where you work on the two degrees simultaneously, but not where you have the PhD already and now want to earn the DNP. Thanks!
Sometime you are going to have to go to work.
