This is a thread for students who are applying in the Spring of 2017 at Baton Rouge Community College for the ASN program! Feel free to comment with questions, thoughts, or anything else that pertains to the nursing program! :)

Frazier is closed Friday. For those that haven't turned in the letter yet, she gives you a sheet with deadlines on it. You have to turn the following in the next day after receiving the packet: money order for 90.75, two sets of fingerprint cards,the authorization for background check and the application to the board of nursing.

What's the money order for?

There's much more that needs to be done before the 6th of July, but those are what need to be done by the following day. The money order is to pay for the background check and also the app fee for Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN).

Before July 6 we have to turn in a lot of stuff we have to get a health screening and multiple test done, we also have to make sure we have our hepatitis B and tetorifice shot and have a current CPR license. We have to purchase , mine was cheap, it was only $38 for one year. We have to submit a receipt for our uniform, scrubs etc. I believe thats it, I don't have the paper in front of me but I'll check when I get home

Hi everyone, my name is Autumn and I received my acceptance letter yesterday. I'm so glad I found this post. My GPA was a 3.64 HESI 93.2 and 3 out of 5 classes taken at BRCC. I already took all of my non-nursing classes so I just have the Nursing classes to complete so if anyone wants advice on those let me know.

I was stressed waiting for my letter and I screamed bloody murder when I received my letter and burst out into tears! I'm not a traditional student. I'm 35 with a 5yr old and a 3yr old who works full time. This is such a blessing!

My start date is Spring 2018. Littlebit I hope you get accepted. Many things happen and 2 isn't many to get bumped ahead. Keep the faith and I hope to see you in the spring!!!

I want to koin a group and make friends as well so I will try to koin the spring 2018 group me.

Mine says January 16, 2018. Hey I need help. I turn in my letter on Monday. I want to have all of my stuff together when I go in. Where do I get a fingerprint card? Is it just one money order or 2? Is the state board application available on the Louisiana State Board of Nursing website?
