BRCC NURSING 2016

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Is there anyone applying to BRCC's nursing program for Fall 2016? I would like to talk to people who are so I don't feel so lonely.

Hey, I was told that on the biology part it will be basic biology. Like Biology 120

I do not know. I also think the biology part will concentrate on Biology 120.

I think it's mostly BIO 120.. Most of the books/practice exams i've been using go along with that material

Can someone send me the class notes or ppt of course BIOL 120 or tell me the reference book for that course? Thanks. [email protected]

Hi, can you tell me how to prepare for the biology part? Can you send the class notes or ppt of course BIOL 120? Or you can tell me some book for BIOL 120 that I can read. Thanks.

Has anyone else taken their HESI yet? I took mine this morning and made a 96.4%. Now it's the 3-month waiting game to find out if we made it in or not :-/

Good job!!!! I take mine on the 21st! You're definitely in the program! What's your GPA? And do you have any advice on taking the exam? Was it hard?

Thanks you! I am still very much in shock but so happy and relieved. For some reason I didn't sleep well last night and only got 4-5 hours of sleep so I was worried about my ability to recall all the info. I walked out of there with bloodshot eyes after 2 hours but apparently was is good shape. I did not think it was hard, just tedious. The biology section covers what we did in 120. Know big picture overview type stuff. I made a 100 on the biology. The reading comprehension and math were two sections that took the longest to complete so I did those first. Just take your time and don't over think things and you'll do fine. The lowest score I made was a 90 and it was on the math section. A good little bit of ratios and proportions. Make sure you can solve those. The grammar and vocabulary was very easy for me as well. If you know the basic rules of grammar and you're a native speaker, you'll do well. There were some more obscure words for the vocab but I luckily was familiar with them. Taking A&P this semester helped a lot as well.

Keeping calm above all else is the most important. The more nervous you are the more you will struggle--just relax. You know more than you think you know

Thank** you. Sleep deprived over here.

My GPA still needs to be calculated because I still have two grades to lock in but I anticipate that both will be A's. So out of 5 grades I should only have one B in algebra. The rest are all A's or will be A's.

Thanks so much. I been studying for a while now. Pretty nervous about the biology section. I hated bio 120

but your GPA is awesome!

I have all As and 1 B. Just need to score high like you did í ½í¸‰

Hey everyone, I took my Hesi exam on the 21st, for me it was tough. I hate timed test. I used my full 3 hours and 30 mins. But I managed to make 86.7%. I sure hope that's good enough to get in. I'm applying with all As and 1 B in math 110. I think that's a 3.8 or 3.9. I am glad it's all over though!
