Is there anyone applying to BRCC's nursing program for Fall 2016? I would like to talk to people who are so I don't feel so lonely.

So exactly what are the subjects on the HESI for BRCC?

I've heard there's going to be a reading section, grammar/vocab, a math and a biology section

Ok.. Because i'm a little confused as to what exactly falls under the category of grammar... Some of the practice tests i'm working with ask questions like name the predicate.. Pronoun.. Adjective in a sentence (haven't done that since middle school) but to me that seems like more english/language arts

Yes, we can only take the HESI and apply in the spring at BRCC. Once you turn in your application to the nursing department u will then schedule your time to take the HESI in March.

And on the science portion it will be like bio120? ahhh I hated that class :/

Looks like I have to really study now.

But in the spring I am taking Human Anatomy 2 and Microbiology

Also I brought my book from the BRCC Book store.

AND the grammar section is just that @Raynesha it's really just simple basic stuff. I'm sure we will all have it down pack, just have to refresh our minds! We got this!

Yea.. I'm hoping it'll come back once I start studying. I hate that the test is way in March.. I wanted to get it overwith before the spring semester starts.

Yeah i agree! i think that it sucks that we have to wait all the way in June to find out if we got accepted or not. I think the waiting process is going to be long. But i am planning on going to summer school as well and prepare myself incase i dont get in i can just go straight for my BSN. Plus i plan on getting my BSN anyway so regardless im going to have to take the extra classes. But im hopping i get accepted into BRCC because i really love this school and its a great nursing program. Great nurses come from this school

I unfortunately won't be able to apply to the school until 2017 because I'm taking my a&p 1 this semester. I'm taking micro too, maybe we'll be in the same class. I won't publicly disclose the prof's name but she's a highly ranked female teacher and I'll be taking her on tuesdays and thursdays from 12 - 2:45.

Yeah, bio 120 content will be in it is what I'm hearing. I loved that class! I do definitely need to brush up on my simple grammar rules like predicates and stuff...it's been about 12 years.

Actually you can apply still. As long as you have it complete by June. They wait after the semester to process people in because they know some people are finishing up their prerequisites in the spring. I have a couple friends that's doing that and still applying for fall 2016. So I think you can still apply.

I'm so glad you told me. I double checked with a nursing director last night and sure enough, I can apply to the school this January. Pretty sweet!

Can some tell me what specific contents will be covered in the biology part in HESI A2 exam this year at BRCC? I send an email to a staff at BRCC, and be told that biology will cover enerthing? BIOL 120, BIOL 230, or BIOL 210. etc?
