Hi,

I wanted to put this up for anyone applying for BRCC's nursing program Spring 2018. I am applying in the Spring and also taking my HESI in the Spring. I have to complete my last two classes also, when I get an A in those classes I'll be applying with a 3.8 GPA. I talked to the advisor and she said I just need to concentrate on getting a good score on the HESI. I felt we all could be encouragers for each other. :)

I am scheduled to take my HESI on March 26th. I'm ready to take it and get it over with haha. Also extremely ready to receive our letters!

I'm just trying not to freak out before the HESI. I only have 18 days left to study and just do not feel prepared. I think I'm ok with grammar and vocabulary but the biology section is killing me right now.

How many of you are using or have used (already in nursing school) the HESI app on your phone to study? Or the HESI practice tests that you find through google? Are the questions similar to the actual test? Thanks!!!!

I'm using the HESI prep book by Elsevier but also using the pocket prep app. I find that the Elsevier book is great for giving you information you need to know for each section, and the pocket prep app has the style of questions and what kind of answers they're looking for. I decided to go with the pocket prep app because some other people on these boards had great success with it.

I've been doing 150-200 questions a day, and I take my exam March 8th.

Thank you! I don't do that many questions per day but I have been studying the biology section more. I take mine on March 15th and my friend takes hers March 6th.

I've only been doing so many questions because I suck at grammar, and doing that many questions helps me know what kind of answers they're not looking for. :) I moved schools and missed the entire grammar module and never really learned all the ins and outs of all the grammar bits.

I'm applying as well for the spring 2018! I'm taking the HESI exam Monday the 12th. I have a 3.6 GPA but all of my prerequisites are from Southeastern. Very nervous about that because I know they like to take BRCC students first.
