Hey Everyone!
I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying to Baton Rouge Community College’s ASN program in January 2021 for the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 admissions cycle. Hopefully this way, we can all communicate as the process begins and keep updated on the process as we go through this semester. Also, we can provide our stats as we get accepted/denied so that we have a metric for who got in and our placement and just be a support group for each other!
Stay safe and good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS! It feels amazing after all these months of waiting! We did it! Now, time to take the Summer to prep for the next two years of our lives! Can't wait to meet everyone!
Congratulations to you all!!
I’m really proud of you guys ??
For my situation, Ms.Hampton told me that they are accepting 125 applicants and that I am not 100% admitted because of the limited of seat space for both semesters. Once seats become available then I will be accepted. So basically I didn’t get in, but they will reach out before the year is over.

125 spots is a lot and many of those may not stick with it-- they may have applied to multiple programs. So definitely don't give up hope! I'm sure it's no fun having to wait even longer to hear back, but it sounds hopeful!

I’m sorry to hear you weren’t immediately admitted! However, with 125 openings I’m sure you will be getting better news soon! Did you ask where you are on the wait list? That can let you know the likelihood that you will be admitted. From asking around, usually in more normal times those that were in the top 5 on the waitlist were usually admitted later. So I’m think that may have expanded.

125 spots is definitely a lot and a few students that I know have already committed to another school, so hopefully you'll get a call soon! Fingers crossed! You got this!

Do not give up or lose your faith! Although the waiting process is the hardest, do not be discouraged.

As far as I know there’s no other admissions exam, but we so have to apply to LSBN and have a background check and drug test done and there’s probably more, but they’re apparently sending more info out next week regarding next steps. Let’s hope!!
