I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying to Baton Rouge Community College’s ASN program in January 2021 for the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 admissions cycle. Hopefully this way, we can all communicate as the process begins and keep updated on the process as we go through this semester. Also, we can provide our stats as we get accepted/denied so that we have a metric for who got in and our placement and just be a support group for each other!
I am so glad this thread was started! Everyone should know something by 2 weeks I assume! I called and asked what day we would receive something about being accepted/ denied and was told the 1st week in June. I heard usually a 70 or higher on TEAS is a good sign. Looks like mostly everyone I talked to was 80 or higher so I might be more competitive. I’m curious to know why are some accepted for the fall and some accepted for the Spring? I thought everyone started at the same time?? Anybody know why?? I got my LPN at BRCC.

I'm not sure. It may just be due to the number of instructors they have. I hope it is sooner, but time is flying by so we will know soon enough. I am a little worried about when we need to take the BLS workshop and the shots and all that. I'm getting married on August 7th and my weekends are getting so packed.

I think it has to do with the instructors, as well. They only have two instructors for each semester from what I understand and they both split the class for that semester rather than having two classes in one semester (they co-teach). And I'm also worried! I have to figure out moving and such before that plus the health stuff and tests, they really need to hurry up! LOL And congratulations on getting married! My husband and I got married in June of last year and I remember the two months beforehand being INSANE, especially since we DIYed our wedding, so good luck and congrats on the marriage! It's an amazing time and will be an awesome way to start nursing school! :D
June has come and my nerves are rattled! I was hoping that as soon as the first came we would all get an email letting us know either way so that we can finally breathe! Best of luck to everyone!
Thanks @Sam Breaux!! We are definitely DIYing ours! It will be worth it though. I'm currently deciding if I want to take A&P II with Mitra for the Summer but I'm not sure I can do a Summer class. I want to get A&P done so that I can take Microbiology in the fall and be totally done with all classes except nursing. But if they take me for the Spring class rather than the Fall, then there's no point in trying to cram it in.

@breezybry It's definitely worth the DIY! We had a $10,000 wedding for $2,500-3,000, so it's perfect! LOL xD And I thought the same thing, but I can't pay the cost this Summer and justify it if A&P II is one of the only other classes I need to take, so I decided to just take it in the Fall. And I'm still checking everyday! In the GroupMe, someone said today that they called today for a different reason and the person was quite rude and cut her off and said results would be out in the second week of June. She was calling for something else and they kept cutting her off and were rude...seems like we'll be waiting until next Friday! LOL

My fiancé called again too (I'm too chicken to call) and said he got the same thing. I'm wondering if it is BY the second week in June or DURING the second week in June. I feel like this may just be an annoyed BRCC worker who doesn't want to be bothered.
