BRCC Fall 2021/Spring 2022 Admissions

Published

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying to Baton Rouge Community College’s ASN program in January 2021 for the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 admissions cycle. Hopefully this way, we can all communicate as the process begins and keep updated on the process as we go through this semester. Also, we can provide our stats as we get accepted/denied so that we have a metric for who got in and our placement and just be a support group for each other!

Stay safe and good luck!

Same here!! There’s soooo much to do in such a short amount of time! Whew! I’m grateful nonetheless!

Where is everyone getting their fingerprints done?

Agreed! I'm excited to get started but it is a really quick turn around.
I'm getting mine done at the Louisiana State Police headquarters. I don't know of any other place that does them. I've heard that the wait there is like an hour and a half.

Anyone else starting Spring 2022?

So is it just me or does the information packet say that we can turn in documents on or before the due date? I went in today and they said they aren't accepting anything until the 15th exactly. Not sure  if anyone else has ran into this issue but for those that are trying to get things turned in more sooner than later please do not make a blank trip.

Wow thanks for the heads up! I definitely planned on turning it in today or Monday.

From the way it seems, the requirements for Tuesday must be turned in on Tuesday, but the remainder can be done on or before the due dates. That’s how I read it, at least!

Also everyone, I met with Mrs. Pounders and it seems we will be needing a notarized affidavit that unfortunately wasn’t included in our paperwork but should be sent out soon! Be prepared for that email.

Oh wow. I just read through the LSBN requirements to see if I could find it. I think this is the form: http://www.lsbn.state.la.us/Portals/1/Documents/Forms/AffadavitofVerificationRN.pdf

Yes, that is the form exactly! This is precisely what she gave me during our meeting. It was an error on their end that we didn't get this form however  we definitely need this done and notarized by the 15th in order to turn anything in. I didn't get the impression there would be an extension due to this so just a heads up to get this printed out and notarized over the weekend or, wait until they send out the email that I'm sure is on the way.

Thanks so much for the heads up!

Hi guys, on the LSBN clinical application, where we are asked our date of admission do we put when we were accepted or is it when classes start?
