I have a Palm TX. I love it. I've got the Nursing Constellation program from Skyscape installed, and it's awesome. It's got everything I need..drug guide, labs guide, clinical topics (forget what a normal HR is for a 4 year old? it's in there). It's also got integrated, internal wi-fi connectivity, so if you're in a wi-fi hotspot, you can connect to the internet. It's an all-around great little tool, and it's saved my butt many times in clinical :loveya: I don't have any experience with any other types of Palm, because this is the first one I've had, so I can't really compare anything else to it. I love mine, though, my whole life is on my TX :chuckle

I second the TX. My program requires PEPID which is another nursing software package with dictionary, labs, drug guide, NANDA info, etc. The TX works great for clinicals.

I third the TX. Saved my butt many times as well
I believe it is the only one with internet capabilities (wi-fi) and I know it holds the most memory. You can get cell phones now that act like PDA's, but the memories aren't nearly as large as the TX and you can't have cell phones in clinical anyway.

TX with Skyscape's Nursing Constellation Plus. Worth every single penny. I use it every day at school, at clinical's, at work. I also use SuperMemo software - it's a great flashcard type of program.
And I recommend getting the hard case. Trust me on this one! My case is dented but my TX is like new.

I have the Palm Centro phone w/ a 4G SD card (more than a TX). We are allowed to have them in clinical as long as the phone feature is turned off. I've had both Palm and PocketPC devices in the past and I can do everything with the Centro I could do w/ either and having just one device to carry around is amazing.
