Boston Direct Entry Masters and DNP 2020

Thought I would create a topic for this application cycle. I made one for both DNP and Masters since DNP applicants are considered for the Master's program as well. I assume that means they sometimes defer people to the Master's if they feel that they are not a good fit for the DNP program

Accepted to FNP! Super excited as this is one of my top choices. Anyone else definitely going or leaning toward going here? Also anyone going to admitted students day? From what I saw on the website it's being held on February 22.

I actually think I may give up mine as well. Since scholarships and financial aid are first come first serve....

Plus I was enrolled in a prerequisite this spring that I didn’t need for anywhere else I applied. I’d rather not pay for MORE requirements when I already took an extra course for this application and THEN not get accepted. That would be devastating. Here’s to hoping MGH IHP found me to more compelling.

Well, just received my scholarship letter. They did give me a huge amount of scholarship so now I don't know how to decide....

The Yale GEPN program... I haven’t received their financial aid package yet... so if they don’t give me any then I may choose BC.

Tough choices but I’m sure which everyone choice you make you’re going to get a great education. ?

Kelly, I wish I was in that boat. I’m a mother of two that runs a non-profit pretty much 24 hours a day who somehow still has a 4.0 GPA, got my Bachelors summa cum laude, and was told during the interview that I wrote the best essay they have received in 5 years and that I would be personally advocated for.... and I got WAITLISTED, losing out on first come first serve monies... and I only applied to one other program so now I’m just hoping for the best for MGH because I had all my eggs in the BC basket. I’m in a sinking boat, you’ve got 2 well maintained vessels. ? I’m sure you will make the right choice.

I can’t believe they would tell you that then put you on the waitlist! It makes no sense! I bet they’ll take you off once some people turn down BC, wishing you look for MGH!!!

Hi everyone - has anyone heard from MGH DEN (direct entry masters of nursing ). I was told there is not an interview and decisions will be going out end January / early Feb 2020!
