Hey everyone! Starting a thread for Boston College Direct Entry MSN for the Fall of 2018.
I am in the same boat as well. Do you think that it would be likely that we'd get accepted for AGNP?
I think if they sent that email to you, they believe we may have a fair shot. I'm most likely going to submit my form for the reapplication into the AGNP track. I'm honestly somewhat weary of waitlists, and I would much rather have a definitive answer rather than a wishy-washy waitlist response. I'm also open to the idea that while I was the most interested in FNP, having options was never a bad thing. But take your time and weigh out your choices, I'm sure that all of the students that want to reapply will be reconsidered after the February 12th deadline, so you have time to mull it over. Best of luck to you!
Also in the same boat! He said in his email that he hopes the turnaround will be quick, but I'm a little nervous now seeing how many other FNP candidates are being reconsidered for AGNP...
Yes! This is also something for everyone to consider! The fact that many of the waitlisted FNP applicants have this option to reapply to AGNP means that staying on the waitlist may be beneficial! If a lot of the waitlisted FNP applicants reapply to AGNP, they'll effectively be taken off of the waitlist and everyone below them would move up. It really boils down to how badly you want to become a Family Nurse Practitioner vs. how badly you want to get into a NP track at Boston College. Are you dead-set on becoming an FNP or are you willing to move tracks in order to increase your likelihood of acceptance at Boston College? For me, I don't mind the variety of options I'll have at the end, so I reapplied to AGNP. Let me know if anyone else has any thoughts on this situation!
I'm so excited to have been accepted to the FNP specialty track this past Wednesday! I'm curious to know if anyone received scholarship information with their letter of acceptance, or if we will be notified when they do financial aid letters after we make a deposit?
Also, looking forward to meeting everyone attending accepted students day!
Accepted for PMHNP! I need much more information on financial aid before accepting (unfortunately).
which other PMHNP programs are you applying to mikaylam? It's kinda of a bummer that they don't give you fin aid info until after you do the deposit.

Yes, I agree! It's a huge factor for me - so it is tough to make the decision without it. I am applying to MGH, Oregon Health and Sciences, Seattle University, and clinical psychology PhD at URI. I am also applying to just the Accelerated BSN at UMass Dartmouth if I can't swing the price of BC.
