Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !

I never took an ENG course at BMCC but I received credit for taking it at another institution

1) Is A&P II and microbio counted towards PCI for evening applicants?
2) Any info on (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for microbio if you've taken her or heard about her?
3) What's BMCC nursing school tuition for evening applicants
4) Did you purchase any study books for the HESI exam?
And then just general info on scores/grades for those who were admitted in evening program. So far I've received CR for english, A in MAT 104 , A in chem, A in psych, A- in A&P I, A in A&P II and taking BIO 420 this semester. (I know I'm a bit early in commenting but trying to get a sense of what needs to be done)
Any fdback welcome and congrats again. Great news for the new year!
If you can take (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for micro do it - she is fantastic . Don’t take the CR , nursing will only accept letter grades , it’s Mat 104 / Chem / Eng / psych/AP 1 for evening and day . But until you hear from the advisor or nursing dept it’s not truth and things can change at any minute . I was studying for the Kaplan and then it changed for the HESI
Nurse Hub and Math Dude is the way to study and supplement with any other you tube you like - I liked science with Susanna for refreshers on AP .
good luck ?

Yes both of em, and also a bunch of other requirements such as letter of employment.
2) Any info on (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for microbio if you've taken her or heard about her?
Haven't taken her nor 420 yet, but melissa raymond teaches it and she is a well sought out class for A&P. Took her for A&P 2. Learned alot.
3) What's BMCC nursing school tuition for evening applicants
A couple of posts ago, somebody mentioned the cost. It is expensive, the package alone costs an arm and a leg.
4) Did you purchase any study books for the HESI exam?
Yes, 2 books. But I ended up subscribing to mometrix and all nurses online course. Try to use the HESI A2 pocket prep at your phone. Practice the questions in the subway or 10 questions in the morning, also Youtube videos about it have links on quizlet. Some of those quizlets are down to the T and I have seen the questions in the exam.

Upon reading it when we transitioned to online, they do not accept CR. Only letter grade. As far as I know, double check with the nursing dept and advisor. They can tell you the works. But don't expect them to be effecient. They tend to be vague so ask more than one person. Some advisors are so salty, they even discouraged you to apply for the program.

ugh! that sucks I'd have to go back to Eng 101 after I majored in English for my 4 year degree. Sounds like I should just enroll at this point. Thank you for the recs. I'll def make a note and use those to study when that time comes.

You may have to find out about your eligibility if you already have a BA. I think there’s something in the requirements that talks about students who already have a 4 year degree in another subject. Check into that too!

Try talking to the dean, and have it translate it to a letter grade. Since CR is a transfer credit right? Oh and if you have a BA. There is a program in hunter for those who have a BA and decided to switch to nursing. It's called accelerated nursing

yep, it's a Transfer credit from my 4 yr degree. That specific grade may have expired since I attended from 2010-2014, but I was an Eng major so I have several english classes taken over the course of 4 years. I'll wait for my advisor to return to hear her response, but will also send another email to see if I can get the CR changed to a letter grade. thats a good idea.

You should really look into the accelerated program. This program is for people who have a bachelors and wanted to do nursing.
