List any books (other than your text books) that you suggest nursing students should read. I will start nursing school in a couple of months so all advice is greatly appreciated!!

And how could I forget those incredibly easy books!

* Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Easy

* Fluids & Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy (I actually have the pocket guide of this, it's really good!)

* Reviews & Rationales: Fluids, Electrolytes & Acid-Base Balance (Hogan)

* If you need a good dosage calc book, "Calculate With Confidence" by Deborah Gray Morris is invaluable.

Specializes in SDU, Tele.

I double the Fluids and Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy. Its excellent. Any Made Incredibly Easy book for that matter. I thought the Pathophysiology RR by Hogan was nice. As for fun, I usually like to read about the Middle East... like RNs and MD doing work in the mideast for example, or things about women's rights. Kind of controversial stuff but that's just me. :-)

I love my Tabers and my nursing skills book. It has every possible nursing procedure written out.

What a cool post! This would definitely be helpful for nurses and nursing students! I have heard "Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle" by Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski is a really insightful book that offers practical tools for overcoming burnout, emphasizing rest, connection, and authenticity as pathways to well-being.
