books for broward college nursing program

hi, i want to start reading from now.. what books do you recommend that i purchase??

Hiiiiiiii HoneyBee!!!! I'm at South too!! I'll be starting GI/GU and Pysch next semester!

:yeah:Cool! I finished GI/GU and will be done with Peds this month. When do you start Psych? I'll be starting in January, on Wednesdays at Memorial, then in March we go to OB.

So they have you all splitting the semesters too? I didn't realize they did it that way for everyone. Anyway, hang in there! I'm trying my best to keep truckin. LOL

You got it BumblebeeRN. I intend to keep my head down, shut my mouth, and study super hard. I think that a lot of students getting in don't have the luxury to complain (even though if i do, it will be either here, or in my head). I intend to study hard, and forget about my social life. I think that should get me through. I have a quick question, if ur in the nursing program, do you study with other student, or do you find it better to study on your own?

honest... I liked studying on my own, because sometimes when you study with people, they may get you confused if they don't understand the material--- and since we are all learning the samething ourselves, we may not be good teachers ourselves-- so if they say something wrong-- then we may learn something the wrong way as well. i learned that in the first semester when in a group discussion about viagra, and one of my classmates said that it brings the b/p up... you would think that is true due to the nature of what the pill is used for, but it actually brings the b/p down.

little things like that i learned in the first semester---, if you do chose a study group, make sure you read ahead, and make your own notes, so if someone says something wrong, you can correct them.

im going to south campus...people just tell me to read lol...and no one has told me of any professors

hey everyone, i have a question i hope someone can help me with. i am applying for the jan2012 program at south campus and was wondering if we get to choose our own professors or are they given to us? thanks alot

The math exams are scary, because of the pressure of only being able to miss one. And it is SO easy to make simple mistakes. I still have about five more to take. So trust me, I worry about it all the time. But it can be done.

If you send me your e-mail address via PM, I can send you some math power points if you want. They might help you start to figure things out before you get the book. Or you can also get the book from now, and just start practicing. ;)
