Hello,
A few months ago someone mentioned in a post a book they read during nursing school about how to communicate effectively with different kinds of people. I cannot find where I wrote it down and I cannot seem to locate it using the search function. I think it divided people into categories--but not the type A, etc., thing--something more original and elaborate. Maybe it was written in the 60's or 70's...?
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Thanks, and sorry this is so vague!

Hartman's color code uses 4 colors to represent personality types. Maybe this is what you're looking for.

Perhaps this is what you want.
Thanks for the quick replies, but these are not it. The book, as I recall, was not specific to the health care field--and it was older. At the time of the post I tried to locate a copy and I think it may have been out of print. I think it was written by a man.

No, it was not an assessment--more like a psychological/philosophical approach...I think it had sort of archetypal categories of people--I think the person who mentioned it is a regular on these boards, so I'm hoping the subject of this thread will catch her eye. Believe me, I've searched this every which way on this site, google, amazon--hoping something would ring a bell...

Wow, This is right on. I'm a 'blue', what are you?
I FOUND IT! I put in a string of like 10 words and I found it! "Games People Play: The basic handbook of transactional analysis" by Eric Berne. YAY! Now I'll go take that personality test and see what color I am...
Thanks, everyone!
I'm also BLUE.
